Kiddie Kare Child Care is looking for a Full-Time, Experienced Child Care Assistant.

We are looking for a childcare assistant to be responsible for assisting the childcare operator. The childcare assistant will work closely with the childcare operator in conducting daily duties such as preparing and serving meals, changing diapers, writing daily reports, recording attendance, engaging in play, assisting children at rest time, and creating a safe and happy environment.

To be successful as a childcare assistant, you must possess a passion for children and exercise patience with them. You should display a friendly and positive attitude, be able to greet parents, and address children by their name. Ultimately, you should constantly monitor and supervise the children in your care to ensure their safety.

Childcare Assistant Responsibilities:

• Providing support for the childcare operator.
• Monitoring and supervising the children compassionately.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and positive environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
• Alerting the childcare operator to emergencies.
• Prepare and serve meals/snacks.
• Greet parents and address children by their name.
• Adhering to procedures in preparing a bottle and diaper changing.
• Assist with activities and curriculum that boost children’s development.

Childcare Assistant Requirements:

• Complete SIDS training before working with infants.
• Complete required training within 90 days of hire.
• CPR/FA/AED Training required. (Will obtain upon hire if the candidate does not have certification)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines.
• Background Check/Fingerprinting, etc.
